Join us for Vienna Nights, a concert of gorgeous inspired by the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria (which happens to be our creative director, Anne Wieben’s home during the year!)
This music is known for its beautiful and memorable melodies, and is heavily influenced by dances like the waltz and the polka (think oom-pa-pa, oom-pa-pa, three quarter time). This concert will feature arias, duets, and instrumental hits from operas and operettas made famous in Vienna.
Example of an absolute Viennese classic: Wien, wien, nur du allein.
The concerts will feature arias (italian word for song), duets (2 singers together), trios (3 singers together), quartets (you guessed it – 4 singers together) as well as full ensembles (4+) accompanied by a chamber ensemble (piano with stringed instruments and sometimes winds such as flute or oboe).
